The U-Weld GT40 chassis was designed around ease of construction for the car building enthusiast. With CNC precision, this laser cut chassis comes with slot and tab design which allows for a semi self-assembling jig system that provides a higher degree of accuracy for a hobbyist or part-time fabricator. If you have access to a welder, a grinder and a level table, you have virtually everything needed to finish this chassis.
U-Weld GT40 Chassis Features
- Square and rectangular DOM tubing makes aligning and squaring up the chassis incredibly easy
- Laser cut “slot-and-tab” design provides a self-aligning jig system
- C5/C6 suspension tabs fully located
- Conservative chassis design that should work with all GT40 bodies
- Lower engine mounts included and fully located (add $200 for Coyote top mounts)
- Constructed from mild steel DOM square and rectangular tubing – 1.5″, 2″, and 4×2″
- Roll bar is constructed from 1.75″ by 0.120″ mild steel
- Roughly 400 pounds when fully welded
- Includes full engineering drawings required to assemble
- All parts are double QC’d to ensure you get everything you need to complete your U-Weld chassis
