Our GT40 kit car bodies are offered solely in carbon fiber — we do not use fiberglass in the construction of our GT40 body kits. By using high quality epoxy and carbon fiber, our bodies do not distort or shrink like many fiberglass bodies do. All finish body work is done by us in-house before sending the shell out which will save you the hassle and headache of extra bodywork (most fiberglass GT40 bodies take over 500 hours of body correction work).

Carbon Fiber Finishes
Paint over Forged Carbon Fiber
The entire body is made from forged carbon fiber and reinforced with Kevlar in critical areas. The body is then fully primered and a multi-stage automotive grade paint is sprayed to ensure a high-quality, glossy finish. Please note that this option is for a single color and does not reflect custom paint schemes.
Clear over Forged Carbon Fiber
In this option the body is made from forged carbon fiber and reinforced with Kevlar in critical areas. The body is then sprayed with clear coat to ensure a high-quality, glossy finish. The finishes offered in forged carbon fiber can be quite dramatic with the use of accent colors such as red, blue and even purple — with the full color list on display below.
Clear over 2×2 Carbon Fiber
If you are looking for the traditional carbon fiber look, than this is the option for you! This GT40 body is made using vacuum infusion (MTI) with 2×2 twill carbon fiber and is reinforced with Kevlar™ and/or Innegra™ in critical areas, in addition to closed-cell foam core material. The body is then sprayed with clear coat to ensure a high-quality, glossy finish. This option is lighter than the forged equivalent, but is not as light as the prepreg carbon fiber option below.
Prepreg Carbon Fiber
The lightest and strongest carbon fiber body available, the entire body is made from pre-preg carbon fiber and reinforced with nomex and Kevlar in critical areas. The complete body weighs under 60 pounds in this configuration and is the most extreme weight savings available without sacrificing strength. The body is sanded to remove all excess resin before its finishing touches are applied, from matte to glossy clearcoat and even designer carbon fiber overlays.
