We offer our 96-00 Honda Civic carbon fiber hatchback roof in multiple lightweight finish options that will significantly reduce weight compared to the OEM steel version. We pride ourselves in creating the strongest, lightest carbon fiber parts that do not contain cheap fillers such as gelcoat or fiberglass. Please note that these carbon fiber roofs are designed for dedicated racecars with the proper safety equipment (rollcage).
Ordering options
- 2×2 twill – traditional looking carbon fiber weave. Vacuum infused with the highest quality vacuum infusion epoxy resin commercially available and backed with a layer of Innegra (like kevlar but lighter).
- Prepreg – the ultimate in weight reduction, prepreg carbon fiber is also known as “dry carbon” for its optimal and low resin content. Utilizes a honeycomb core to maximize weight savings and increase ultimate strength.
- Forged – this look was made famous by Lamborghini® but has made its way into every arena of motorsports. Made with precision cut aerospace grade virgin carbon fiber tows, the forged material provides a “marble” or “camo” look while adding significant uniform strength because the fibers have a higher variation in orientation and because the material has a higher fiber volume. The result is a material that contains both high strength and stiffness allowing for weight reduction in critical applications. All forged roofs are backed with a layer of Innegra (like kevlar).
EK Carbon Fiber Show Car Roof
By popular request, we are offering all the looks of a carbon fiber roof if you are looking for the carbon fiber look without cutting out your existing OEM roof. This is for LOOKS ONLY, installs in 30 minutes and requires no cutting (professional installation recommended). The veneer is backed with fiberglass to prevent galvanic corrosion from carbon fiber to metal contact. On the order form, select “YES” on the veneer option. Not available in prepreg.
